PM Modi Marks One Year of Operation Sindoor, Praises Armed Forces’ Response to Pahalgam Attack

Narendra Modi on Thursday commemorated the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a strong and decisive response to terrorism following the attack on innocent civilians in Pahalgam.

In a post shared on X, the Prime Minister praised the Indian armed forces for their courage, precision, and determination during the operation. He stated that the mission demonstrated India’s uncompromising stance against terrorism and reflected the country’s commitment to protecting national security.

“A year ago, our armed forces displayed unparalleled courage, precision and resolve during Operation Sindoor. They gave a fitting response to those who dared to attack innocent Indians in Pahalgam. The entire nation salutes our forces for their valour,” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister further noted that the operation highlighted the professionalism and preparedness of India’s military forces. He also emphasised the increasing coordination among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, calling it a sign of growing jointness within the defence system.

According to PM Modi, Operation Sindoor also showcased the benefits of India’s push toward self-reliance in the defence sector. He said advancements in indigenous defence capabilities have strengthened the country’s national security framework and improved operational readiness.

The operation remains a significant moment in India’s counter-terrorism efforts and continues to be remembered as a demonstration of the armed forces’ coordinated strength and strategic capability.
