A weather alert has been issued for several districts in Uttar Pradesh as changing conditions are expected today. With the gradual end of the mild winter, dark clouds are likely to cover many regions. According to the Meteorological Department, light rainfall, along with thunder, lightning, and possible hailstorms, may occur in nearly 19 districts of western Uttar Pradesh.

Weather expert Mohammad Danish stated that cloudy skies and light rain are expected on Wednesday, marking a rare occurrence after nearly a decade. Districts such as Moradabad, Bareilly, Rampur, Pilibhit’s Terai region, Amroha, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Shamli, Aligarh, Hathras, Mainpuri, and Firozabad are likely to remain overcast, with chances of drizzle in the afternoon.
Strong winds are also expected in parts of Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Ballia, Basti, Ayodhya, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Sultanpur, which may impact daily activities.
Yesterday’s Weather Conditions
On Tuesday, many districts witnessed clear skies and bright sunshine during the morning hours, followed by gusty winds later in the day. In Agra, the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.5°C, which was 0.8°C higher than normal. The Meteorological Department had already forecast light rainfall for Wednesday.
Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions in view of possible rain, hail, and strong winds.
