Skoda Epiq Electric SUV Revealed With Up to 440km Range.
Skoda has officially unveiled the all-new Epiq, the brand’s most affordable electric SUV to date. Designed as an entry-level EV for global markets, the compact SUV is built on Volkswagen Group’s advanced MEB+ platform and blends modern styling, practicality, and impressive electric performance.
The Epiq is also the first production Skoda model to fully showcase the company’s latest ‘Modern Solid’ design philosophy. At the front, the SUV features a glossy black Tech Deck Face instead of a traditional grille, paired with sleek T-shaped LED lighting elements that are expected to become a signature design feature for future Skoda SUVs.
Aerodynamics have been given major importance in the Epiq’s development. The electric SUV achieves a drag coefficient of just 0.275 thanks to active cooling shutters, aerodynamic alloy wheels, roof spoiler elements, air curtain channels, and a specially optimised underbody designed to improve efficiency and driving range.
In terms of size, the Epiq measures 4,171mm in length, 1,798mm in width, and 1,581mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,601mm. Depending on the variant, it comes equipped with 17-inch to 19-inch alloy wheels. The SUV also offers a spacious 475-litre boot along with an additional 25-litre front storage compartment.
Inside the cabin, Skoda has focused on sustainability by using recycled and animal-free materials throughout the interior. Upholstery made from recycled polyester fibres, multiple cabin themes, ambient lighting, and premium Techtona leather-alternative finishes add to the premium feel of the SUV.
The feature list includes a large 13-inch Android-based infotainment touchscreen with integrated Google Maps, YouTube, and Spotify support. Other highlights include wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, a Canton premium sound system, connected car technology, and digital key functionality.
On the safety front, the Epiq comes equipped with seven airbags as standard. It also features advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including Front Assist, Lane Assist, Side Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and optional Travel Assist 3.0 with traffic light response and remote parking support.
Skoda will offer the Epiq with two battery pack options and three power outputs. The base Epiq 35 uses a 38.5kWh battery paired with a 114bhp electric motor producing 267Nm of torque. The Epiq 40 uses the same battery pack but delivers 133bhp and 267Nm. Both versions offer a claimed driving range of around 310km and a top speed of 150 km/h.
The top-spec Epiq 55 comes equipped with a larger 55kWh battery and a front-mounted motor generating 208bhp and 290Nm. This variant delivers a claimed range of up to 440km and supports DC fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 24 minutes. Its top speed is rated at 160kmph.
Another standout feature is the one-pedal driving mode, which allows drivers to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal while maximising regenerative braking efficiency for improved energy recovery.
