Maruti Brezza Facelift Spied: Bigger Screen, 6MT Update

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift has been spotted testing once again on Indian roads, offering a clearer look at some of the updates expected in the upcoming version. Although the test mule remains heavily camouflaged, a few key changes are now becoming more evident.

One of the most noticeable upgrades is inside the cabin. The facelifted Brezza appears to feature a larger infotainment system, likely a 10.25-inch touchscreen, replacing the current 9-inch unit. Along with the increase in size, the system is also expected to come with a refreshed user interface for a more modern and intuitive experience. Additionally, the presence of camera modules on the ORVMs suggests that a 360-degree camera setup will continue to be offered, most likely on the higher variants.

On the exterior, subtle design tweaks are anticipated. These may include a revised front and rear bumper, updated alloy wheel designs, and possibly minor styling enhancements to keep the SUV looking fresh and competitive in the segment. Inside, a new interior theme could also be introduced to elevate the overall cabin appeal.

Another important update is the addition of a new 6-speed manual transmission (6MT), which has already been confirmed through earlier spy shots. This gearbox is expected to offer better gear ratios, enhancing driving efficiency and overall performance.

Mechanically, the Brezza facelift is unlikely to see major changes. It is expected to continue with the same 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine, available in multiple configurations. The naturally aspirated version produces around 99 bhp and 137 Nm of torque, while the CNG variant delivers approximately 87 bhp and 121 Nm. The mild-hybrid version, on the other hand, offers slightly improved output at around 102 bhp and 139 Nm. The new 6MT option is expected to be paired with both the standard petrol and smart-hybrid variants.

Overall, the upcoming facelift of the Brezza focuses on enhancing features, improving in-cabin technology, and refining the driving experience, while retaining its proven and reliable powertrain.
