Prateek Yadav, the younger son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, passed away in Lucknow at the age of 38 on Wednesday morning. According to reports, he was brought to the Civil Hospital by family members in an unresponsive condition and was declared dead by doctors upon arrival.

Prateek Yadav was the husband of Aparna Yadav and the half-brother of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. His sudden demise has shocked political circles and supporters across the state.

Sources stated that Prateek had been suffering from lung-related health complications for a long time. He was reportedly undergoing treatment for a blood clot in his lungs. Family members rushed him to the hospital early in the morning after his health condition deteriorated and he stopped responding.

Doctors at King George's Medical University are expected to conduct a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Initial observations reportedly found no visible injury marks on the body.

Prateek Yadav largely stayed away from active politics and was known as a businessman and fitness enthusiast. He had completed his MBA from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom and was associated with the real estate sector.

He had gained attention for his impressive physical transformation and passion for bodybuilding. In 2012, he was featured on an international bodybuilding platform for his fitness journey. He had once mentioned that encouragement from his father, Mulayam Singh Yadav, motivated him to focus seriously on health and fitness.

Apart from business and fitness, Prateek Yadav was also known for supporting animal welfare activities and initiatives related to animal care and protection.

He had previously made headlines in 2017 after purchasing a luxury Lamborghini car reportedly worth several crores, which sparked political criticism and public debate at the time.

Following the news of his death, condolences have started pouring in from political leaders, supporters, and well-wishers across the country.
