Himachal Pradesh University has launched the edited version of the award-winning book “Honey Bio-availability”, marking another milestone in academic research and recognition for the institution.
The book was authored by Rajesh Jaryal from the Department of Biosciences and was formally released by Vice-Chancellor Mahavir Singh in Shimla. The publication focuses on the bioavailability of honey and explores its therapeutic properties, scientific applications, and relevance in modern health and disease management.
Academic Recognition and Global Achievement
The original version of the book has already earned significant international acclaim by winning the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2026 in the Food and Nutrition category. This recognition has helped bring global visibility to Himachal Pradesh University and highlighted the strength of its research contributions in emerging scientific fields.

Speaking at the launch event, Vice-Chancellor Mahavir Singh praised the work of the author and congratulated him for his scholarly achievement.
