CTET 2026 to Be Held on February 7 and 8; Check Important Exam Instructions

CBSE CTET Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 on February 7 and 8, 2026, across more than 140 cities in India. The examination will be held in two shifts each day — 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to strictly follow all instructions issued by CBSE, as failure to comply may lead to disqualification.

CTET Admit Card 2026 Released

CBSE released the CTET 2026 admit card on February 5, 2026. Registered candidates can download their admit cards from the official CTET website.

Through an official advisory, CBSE has urged candidates to carefully check the exam date, shift, reporting time, and exam centre details mentioned on the admit card. Candidates must reach the examination centre well before the reporting time, as no entry will be allowed after the reporting deadline.

The board has also clarified that requests for changes in exam city, centre, or date will not be entertained under any circumstances.

CTET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre. Entry will be denied without these documents.

Carrying prohibited items inside the examination hall is strictly forbidden. These include:

Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, electronic pens, scanners, and cameras

Books, loose papers, geometry boxes, pencil boxes, writing pads, log tables, wallets, handbags, spectacle cases, jewellery, and food items

If any discrepancy is found on the e-admit card — including errors in name, photograph, signature, or personal details — candidates must immediately contact the CTET Unit to get the issue resolved before the examination.
