The domestic equity market is expected to open on a positive note on Wednesday, February 25. GIFT NIFTY futures indicate that the NIFTY50 index could open around 81 points higher.

Solar & Renewable Energy Stocks
Shares of solar energy companies such as Waaree Energies, Premier Energies, and Vikram Solar are expected to attract attention.
This follows the Trump administration’s move to impose preliminary duties of 126% on solar imports from India, citing unfair manufacturing subsidies.
IT Stocks
Indian IT stocks may remain in focus after strong gains in US markets, particularly in technology counters.
The S&P 500 rose 0.77% to close at 6,890.07, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.04% to 22,863.68. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 370.44 points (0.76%) to settle at 49,174.50. Gains were led by technology stocks, including Advanced Micro Devices.
Canara Bank
The state-owned lender plans to raise ₹5,000 crore through Basel III-compliant Tier 2 bonds to strengthen its capital base. The bond issue is scheduled for February 26 via the Electronic Bidding Platform of the National Stock Exchange.
Aditya Infotech
The company’s promoters, along with Dixon Technologies, are reportedly planning to offload up to a 5.8% stake through a block deal valued at approximately ₹1,000 crore.
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL)
RVNL has secured a ₹270.22 crore EPC order from Central Railway. The project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of traction substations and related infrastructure in the Daund–Solapur section.
Biocon
Biocon has received US FDA approval for Liraglutide Injection (18 mg/3 mL), a formulation used for chronic weight management. The approval marks a significant development in its complex generics portfolio.
One97 Communications
The parent company of Paytm has launched “Paytm Silver,” allowing users to invest in silver starting at ₹20 through its app. The move follows strong traction in its digital gold offering.
Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC)
The government will divest up to a 4% stake in IRFC via an Offer for Sale (OFS). The floor price has been set at ₹104 per share. The disinvestment could fetch approximately ₹5,430 crore. The OFS opens for non-retail investors first, followed by retail participation.
Schaeffler India
The company reported a 32% year-on-year rise in standalone net profit to ₹327.96 crore for the December quarter. Revenue from operations increased 27% to ₹2,643 crore.
Dr Reddy's Laboratories
The company stated that the US SEC has not recommended enforcement action following an investigation into allegations of improper payments to healthcare professionals abroad. The matter had been disclosed to US authorities and SEBI.
Tata Group Stocks
The board of Tata Sons has deferred a decision regarding the reappointment of Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran for a third term. Reports indicate that Noel Tata, Chairman of Tata Trusts, proposed certain conditions, leading to the postponement of the decision.
Aviation Stocks – IndiGo, SpiceJet
According to ICRA, Indian airlines are expected to reduce losses to ₹11,000–₹12,000 crore next fiscal year from ₹17,000–₹18,000 crore this year. Domestic passenger traffic is projected to grow 6–8%, reaching 175–179 million passengers in FY2026–27.
Voltas
Voltas expects AC prices to rise 5–15% due to higher copper costs and rupee depreciation. The company anticipates 15–20% growth in domestic AC sales in 2026 despite cost pressures from energy efficiency compliance requirements.
Balkrishna Industries
The company has entered the domestic consumer tyre market with its On-Highway portfolio. It has committed ₹3,500 crore toward capacity expansion and R&D under its Vision 2030 plan, targeting revenue of ₹23,000 crore by FY30.
Power Grid Corporation of India
The Union Cabinet has approved an increase in Powergrid’s equity investment threshold per subsidiary from ₹5,000 crore to ₹7,500 crore, enabling it to bid for large transmission projects.
