Fans of Money Heist have another reason to celebrate as the creators officially confirmed that the franchise is expanding once again ahead of the release of Berlin Season 2. The announcement has sparked excitement among viewers worldwide, with many eager to know what the future holds for the popular heist universe.
The streaming platform behind the hit series unveiled the upcoming spin-off project through a dramatic teaser video and a large-scale promotional event in Seville, Spain. Although details about the new project remain secret, the creators hinted that the world of “La Casa de Papel” is far from over.
According to reports, hundreds of performers dressed in the show’s iconic red jumpsuits and Salvador Dalí-style masks gathered near the Guadalquivir River in Seville on May 9. As crowds watched, the famous anthem “Bella Ciao” echoed through the event, recreating the rebellious spirit that made the series globally popular.
The teaser video featured memorable moments from previous seasons of the original series and highlighted the franchise’s journey from its first robbery to the massive gold heist at the Bank of Spain. The message accompanying the video stated that the “revolution never ends,” strongly hinting at more stories from the universe.
Currently, the franchise includes the original Money Heist series, which aired from 2017 to 2021, the Korean adaptation Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, and the spin-off Berlin. The second season of “Berlin,” titled “Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine,” is scheduled for worldwide release on Netflix on May 15.
While the creators have not revealed whether the next project will be a continuation of the original story or an entirely new chapter, the latest announcement has already generated massive anticipation among fans of the franchise.
