Cloudburst Chaos: Himachal Pradesh Grapples with Flash Floods

This comes after a recent flood in Wayanad, Kerala. The Himachal Pradesh cloudburst unleashed a fury that swallowed entire villages whole, erasing them from the landscape. Entire villages were destroyed.
Anitha Devi a resident shared a story that shook everyone's hearts. She explained about the disaster.
In Samej Village, a resident Anita Devi said “On Wednesday night, our family was sleeping, a loud bang shook our house. When we looked outside, the entire city was washed away then we went to Bhagwati Kali Mata Temple we spent the entire night there.”
Anita said with a tremble, “Our house is the only house that survived in the cloudburst, everything was washed away in front of my eyes.”
In the aftermath of a devastating cloudburst and subsequent flash flooding in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts, the search for missing individuals continues, with 53 people still unaccounted for. Authorities have confirmed the recovery of 8 bodies, as of Saturday, amidst the extensive damage and chaos left in the wake of the disaster, according to the District Disaster Management Authority's latest update.
Because of floods, over 60 houses were washed away and several villages were affected by the floods told by Special Secretary DC Rana of the DDMA.
In the wake of the devastating cloudburst and flash flooding, repair efforts are in full swing in Rampur, where a critical road link between Rampur and Samej was severely damaged, disrupting connectivity between the two regions.
