Bajaj Auto is making a major push with its popular motorcycle brand Pulsar, aiming to strengthen its position in India’s growing premium bike market. During the company’s Q4 FY26 earnings discussion, Executive Director Rakesh Sharma shared that Bajaj plans to introduce several new motorcycles in the 125cc and 150cc–250cc segments. The company is targeting a launch timeline around the second quarter to take advantage of the festive season demand surge.
Sharma indicated that most of these upcoming motorcycles will be launched under the Pulsar brand. In recent months, Pulsar has witnessed strong growth in both sales and popularity. Between October 2025 and March 2026, Bajaj introduced around 8 to 10 new models in the Pulsar N and NS series alone. According to Sharma, these newer models now contribute more than 50% of Bajaj’s total sales in the above-150cc motorcycle category, highlighting strong customer acceptance of the company’s aggressive product strategy.
Bajaj Auto also plans to continue launching new models throughout the remaining months of FY27 to maintain its momentum in the market. Data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) for FY26 showed that the 150cc–200cc segment — considered the core segment for Pulsar motorcycles — was the fastest-growing major category in India’s motorcycle market. The segment grew 37.5% year-on-year to 1.51 million units. Bajaj Auto outperformed the segment average with a remarkable 61.5% growth in sales within this category, further strengthening its market presence.
