Automakers Reveal Vehicle Models Compatible With E10 Gasoline
Automakers, including Mitsubishi, Suzuki, and Yamaha, announce vehicle models compatible with E10 gasoline, along with fuel recommendations and maintenance guidance.
Automakers have begun announcing which vehicle models are compatible with E10 gasoline and which are not, helping customers better understand their vehicles' fuel usage requirements.
According to Mitsubishi, vehicle owners should refer to the owner’s manual to determine the recommended fuel type for their cars. The company also advised that vehicles left unused for long periods should be monitored carefully, as bioethanol fuel may absorb moisture, leading to water separation in the fuel tank. Mitsubishi recommends regular inspections and maintenance at authorised service centres to ensure smooth vehicle performance and long-term durability.
Meanwhile, Suzuki Vietnam Co., Ltd. confirmed that all Suzuki cars and motorcycles manufactured and distributed in Vietnam from 2001 onward are compatible with E10 gasoline. Compatible Suzuki car models include Wagon, Carry Truck, Blind Van, Vitara, APV, Carry Pro, Swift, Ertiga, Ciaz, Celerio, XL7, Jimny, Fronx, and Eeco. Suzuki also listed several motorcycle models approved for E10 usage, including Hayabusa, Raider, Burgman, GSX series, V-Strom series, and Gixxer 250.
Suzuki stated that these models have undergone testing and are certified to operate safely and efficiently with E10 bioethanol fuel. Customers using standard-compliant E10 fuel will continue to receive full warranty support from Suzuki Vietnam.
Regarding Yamaha’s lineup, Yamaha Motor Vietnam announced that all motorcycles equipped with electronic fuel injection (FI) systems are compatible with E10 gasoline. For carburettor-equipped models manufactured from 2017 onward, E10 fuel can also be used safely. However, Yamaha recommends that carburettor models produced before 2017 continue using E5 RON92 gasoline for optimal engine performance and reliability.
