2026 Tata Tiago Facelift: Features, Price and Launch Details
The 2026 Tata Tiago facelift launches with updated styling, new features, enhanced safety, and petrol-CNG engine options in India.
2026 Tata Tiago: Key Details to Know Before Its Official Launch
Tata Motors is all set to launch the updated Tata Tiago on May 28, 2026. Ahead of the official price announcement, the company has already revealed several exterior, interior, and feature upgrades for the refreshed hatchback. The upcoming Tiago is expected to receive a modern design, improved technology, and enhanced safety features while retaining its existing engine lineup.
Expected Price of the 2026 Tata Tiago
The updated Tata Tiago is expected to carry a slightly higher price tag compared to the outgoing version. The current model is priced between Rs 4.60 lakh and Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom), while the facelifted Tiago could start at approximately Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata is likely to position the new model competitively in the hatchback segment by offering additional features and styling improvements.
Fresh Exterior Styling with Modern Elements
The 2026 Tiago receives noticeable cosmetic upgrades at both the front and rear. The hatchback now features slimmer LED headlamps paired with eyebrow-style LED daytime running lights, giving the car a sharper and more premium appearance.
The front bumper has been redesigned with black contrast elements, while the grille also adopts a darker finish. Tata has introduced new pixel-inspired LED fog lamps, along with integrated camera modules on the bumper, for a 360-degree camera setup.
On the sides, the updated Tiago gets redesigned alloy wheels, blacked-out wheel arch cladding, and ORVM-mounted camera pods. At the rear, connected LED tail lamps add a more modern look, while the revised bumper includes a larger black insert and repositioned reverse lights.
Updated Cabin with New Dashboard Layout
Inside the cabin, Tata Motors has redesigned the dashboard layout to give the Tiago a fresher feel. The interior continues with a dual-tone black and light grey theme, but now features a more upright dashboard design.
A new free-standing digital driver’s display has been introduced, enhancing the modern appeal of the cabin. The Tiago also gets a revised two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo at the centre. The infotainment system appears similar to the current version, although Tata may add software improvements.
The climate control section retains rotary dials and toggle switches, while the ‘TIAGO’ branding on the dashboard has been repositioned lower down near the centre console.
New Features Added to the 2026 Tiago
One of the biggest updates in the facelifted Tiago is the addition of a 360-degree camera system, improving parking and manoeuvring convenience. Tata has also introduced dual wireless phone chargers, making the cabin more practical for daily use.
The CNG-AMT variant is expected to receive paddle shifters, which could improve driving convenience. Tata may also reintroduce the 6-speaker audio system that was removed from the MY25 update.
Other expected features include automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a cooled glove box, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
Improved Safety Package
Safety is expected to receive a major boost in the 2026 Tiago. Reports suggest that Tata could offer six airbags as standard across all variants, significantly improving occupant protection compared to the outgoing model.
The hatchback is also expected to continue with features such as tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Engine Options Likely to Remain the Same
Mechanically, the 2026 Tata Tiago is expected to retain its existing engine choices. The hatchback will likely continue with the petrol and CNG powertrain options currently available in the lineup.
Transmission options are also expected to remain unchanged, including manual and AMT gearbox choices for both fuel versions. Tata’s focus with this update appears to be on improving design, technology, and comfort rather than altering the mechanical setup.
With these updates, the facelifted Tiago aims to remain competitive in the entry-level hatchback market while offering buyers a more premium and feature-rich experience.
