Investor confidence remained strong as buying activity was seen across large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap stocks. Among the top performers on the Nifty were Shriram Finance, Trent, Hindalco Industries, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and Eternal, which recorded notable gains during the session. In contrast, ONGC was the only major index stock trading in negative territory during the opening hours.
Sector-wise, gains were widespread, with metal, power, real estate, telecom, automobile, and banking stocks advancing between 1% and 2%. The positive momentum also extended to the broader markets, where the Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices each rose around 1.5%, highlighting strong participation from investors across market segments.
Rajesh Exports Remains Under Pressure
Shares of Rajesh Exports continued their downward trend, hitting the lower circuit limit for the seventh straight trading session. The stock was locked at ₹77.05, registering a decline of nearly 5% from its previous close and marking a fresh 52-week low.
The stock remained under significant selling pressure, with numerous pending sell orders and virtually no buying interest visible in the market. Trading activity was relatively muted, with volumes substantially below the stock's recent average levels.
