Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express To Get 20 Coaches, Says Ashwini Vaishnaw

Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that the popular Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express will soon be expanded from its current configuration to a 20-coach train in order to meet rising passenger demand.

The announcement was made as part of a broader push to strengthen railway infrastructure and improve passenger connectivity in Rajasthan and northern India.

According to the Railway Minister, the increase in coaches is aimed at accommodating more travellers on the busy Jodhpur-Delhi route, which has witnessed strong passenger response since the launch of the Vande Bharat service.

The upgraded train is expected to provide improved seating capacity, enhanced travel convenience, and a better overall passenger experience. The expansion also reflects Indian Railways’ continued focus on modernising train services and introducing advanced rail connectivity across major routes.

During his remarks, Vaishnaw also highlighted ongoing railway development projects in the region, including infrastructure improvements and efforts to enhance operational efficiency.

The Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express is among the key premium train services connecting Rajasthan with the national capital, offering faster travel times and modern onboard facilities for passengers.
