The weather across North India is witnessing rapid changes at the moment. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), after several days of intense heat and heatwave conditions, many states are likely to experience some relief.

In Uttar Pradesh, western and central regions are still recording high temperatures between 40°C and 44°C. However, chances of thunderstorms and light rainfall have been predicted in several districts, which may bring some relief.

In Punjab and Haryana, the severe heatwave is beginning to weaken. Over the next few days, strong winds, thunderstorms, and rainfall are expected in several areas as the weather starts to shift.

Delhi and the NCR region are also expected to see a reduction in heatwave intensity. Cloudy skies, along with thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall, are likely in the coming days.

Western Rajasthan continues to experience extreme heat, with temperatures reaching around 45°C in several locations. However, eastern Rajasthan may get some relief due to thunderstorms and rain in a few areas.

In Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the hill regions are enjoying relatively pleasant weather. Cloud cover, light rain, and occasional thunderstorms are expected in higher-altitude areas.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the plains—especially the Jammu division—are still experiencing hot conditions, while the Kashmir Valley remains comparatively cool and pleasant. Some areas may also see rain and strong winds. Ladakh is expected to remain dry during the daytime, although night temperatures may drop significantly.

Meanwhile, Bihar is likely to witness thunderstorms, strong winds, and light to moderate rainfall in several areas, which may help reduce temperatures.

Overall, North India is seeing changing weather patterns due to the advancing monsoon and western disturbances. In the coming days, heatwave conditions are expected to reduce across most states, with increased chances of rainfall and storm activity, bringing much-needed relief from the intense heat.
