The Meteorological Department has announced a warning about possible heavy rainfall in parts of Tamil Nadu over the next few days. According to the forecast, certain regions may experience intense showers along with strong winds and thunderstorms.

On February 20, light to moderate rainfall is expected in isolated areas of South Tamil Nadu and the Western Ghats. Some parts of North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal may receive light showers. The remaining regions are likely to experience dry weather.

On February 21, light to moderate rain is predicted in many areas of South Tamil Nadu and in a few places across North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. Wind speeds may reach 30 to 40 kmph in certain locations. Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in districts such as Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar, and Theni.

Weather Forecast for February 22
For February 22, scattered light to moderate showers are expected in parts of South and North Tamil Nadu, along with Puducherry and Karaikal. Strong winds of 30 to 40 kmph may occur in isolated areas. Heavy rain with thunderstorms is likely in Dindigul, Madurai, and Theni districts.

Weather Outlook from February 23 to 26
Between February 23 and 26, light to moderate rainfall may continue in some areas of South Tamil Nadu and the Western Ghats. Light showers are also expected in a few places across the rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.

There is no major change expected in maximum temperatures across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on February 20 and 21.
