Other reports indicate that other countries have also resulted in buying portable AC units to help deal with the expected heat. India has now joined into this, and a ministry source said that the decision was made early on Friday and the cost would be incurred by the ministry.
Confronted with scorching temperatures and inadequate cooling in their accommodations, the ministry has provided 40 portable air conditioning units to enhance the comfort of the Indian contingent. These portable ACs were dispatched to the Games village following discussions between the ministry, the Indian Olympic Association, and the French Embassy in India. The aim is to ensure that Indian athletes can rest and recover more effectively amidst the demanding conditions of the Olympic competition.
" Featuring a plug-and-play design, these air conditioning units simplify the installation process, enabling users to quickly and easily enjoy a refreshing atmosphere. Athletes have already begun utilizing these plug-and-play ACs, and it is anticipated that this will provide them with a more comfortable living environment and better-quality rest. This improved comfort and rest is crucial for their overall performance," he explained.
