She appealed against her disqualification from the Paris Olympics 2024 on two counts to CAS (Court of Arbitration for sports). The first was to weigh her again, the court rejected this and said the decision had done and the gold medal played as scheduled.
And the second one is to award her a silver medal because she had earned it with a weigh-in on Tuesday. She qualified in the semifinals and she lost in finals. CAS said we would discuss it.
CAS accepted her appeal and if the CAS requests the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to overturn their ruling, the top wrestler could potentially secure a silver medal.
