The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) began the Class 10 board examinations for 2026 on February 20 with smooth and well-organised arrangements across the state. In the first shift, students appeared for first language subjects such as Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Sindhi, Bengali, and Punjabi. The second shift was conducted for second and third language papers, including German and French. Students from major regions like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Latur participated in large numbers.
All candidates were required to carry their SSC hall ticket and a valid school identity card. Students were advised to reach the examination centre at least half an hour before the reporting time. The board had earlier completed practical examinations and internal assessments in schools under strict supervision to ensure transparency and fairness.
